privacy policy
sharingu is built by Ryuk Labs FZ-LLC, registered in the Ras Al Khaimah free zone, United Arab Emirates, with its headquarters in Dubai. This policy covers this website, including the waitlist. The sharingu app itself runs locally on your own machine; a separate product policy ships with the open-source release.
what we collect
- your email address, if you join the waitlist. The waitlist form asks for your email address and anything you choose to add. We use it to tell you when sharingu opens up, and to send occasional updates while you're on the list. We don't need your real name and we don't ask for one.
- analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and similar usage data. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this.
- email you send us. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to help you.
- server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
what we do with your email

- send occasional product updates while you're on the waitlist
- reply to you if you asked us something
That's the whole list. Joining the waitlist doesn't sign you up to anything else, and we don't add you to unrelated mailing lists.
what we don't do
We don't sell or rent your data. We don't share your email with advertisers or data brokers. We don't run ad networks. We don't do cross-site tracking of our own.
who processes data for us
- Formspree · receives and stores waitlist form submissions, including your email address.
- Google · site analytics (Google Analytics).
- Vercel · hosting, serving the site and standard server logs.
Each processor handles data under its own privacy terms. These providers may store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and the European Union.
your choices
- leaving the waitlist: email us and we'll take you off it. Every update we send also carries an unsubscribe option.
- access, correction or deletion: email us and we'll show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
- analytics: block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
retention
We keep waitlist emails until you ask us to remove you, or until the waitlist closes and we no longer need the list. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Correspondence is kept only as long as it's useful for helping you.
security
We deliberately hold very little — for most people on the waitlist it is one email address and a timestamp. Data sits with the processors listed above and is reachable only by the people at Ryuk Labs who need it.
children
This site is for people building software and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.
changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
